How AV.io SDI+ works
Connect your AV.io SDI+ device to your video source, ideally directly to the source if possible
Connect your AV.io SDI+ device to your desktop computer, laptop, or notebook
Select AV.io SDI+ from the list of available input sources in your application of choice
The AV.io SDI+ is compatible with most third-party application that support webcams or UVC devices to capture video and audio
The third-party application communicates with AV.io SDI+ and negotiates a frame rate (frequency at which frames in a video sequence are displayed) and frame resolution (size of a single video frame in pixels). A higher frame rate means smoother video capture while the frame resolution determines the aspect ratio of the video output as well as its dimensions and degree of definition; generally overall quality.
AV.io SDI+ does not enforce a direct relationship between the input and output signals. If a third-party application requests a video format that is different than your video source, AV.io SDI+ automatically scales the video. If the input and output formats are the same, the signal can pass through without scaling. For consistent and widely compatible output, audio is automatically resampled to 16-bit 48 kHz stereo audio.
AV.io SDI+ by default outputs resolutions in commonly supported aspects ratios if the custom UVC mode is not enabled
