# Schedule events

Starting with Pearl devices running firmware version 4.21.0 and newer, you can use Epiphan Edge to schedule recording and/or live stream events for your Pearl devices.

Your Pearl device must first be paired with an Epiphan Edge account which is subscribed to the Premium plan. Secondly, Epiphan Edge scheduling must be enabled on the device. To enable Epiphan Edge and schedule an event for your paired device:

- Click **Edge > All Devices**, select the device, then click **Events**

Epiphan Edge scheduling can also be enabled from the Pearl device itself instead of from Epiphan Edge. In the Admin panel, go to **Configuration**, then **CMS**, select **Epiphan Edge** from the **Choose CMS** drop down, and click **Apply**. Either method enables the same feature; use whichever you have access to.

- Click **Enable Epiphan Edge scheduling on your device**.

- Click on the **Enable** button to confirm.

- Click **+ Add event**.

- Provide:

- The **Event name**.

- **Start date and time**.

- **End date and time**.

- Select the appropriate **Timezone**.

- If this is a recurring event, select **Repeat event** and configure the recurring schedule.

- Select which channels will be recorded and/or select where your device will stream to.

- Click the **Create** button to send this schedule to for this Pearl device.
