Disable CMS and disconnect from Opencast
Applies to: Pearl-2, Pearl Mini, Pearl Nano, Pearl Nexus.
When you use the Admin panel to disable CMS on Pearl device, the remote recorder disconnects from Opencast. As long as Pearl device is still registered, you can create new scheduled sessions in Opencast for this remote recorder, but the events schedule won't synchronize until CMS is re-enabled.
If CMS is re-enabled on Pearl device before a VOD session is scheduled to end, recording starts automatically on Pearl device when the connection to Opencast is re-established.
Important considerations
You cannot start unscheduled ad hoc events when CMS is disabled on Pearl device.
Sessions that are scheduled to start while CMS is disabled on Pearl device do not start on Pearl device.
Deleting Pearl device in Opencast permanently deletes future scheduled and recurring sessions associated with that remote recorder.
Do not disable CMS while an event is in progress.
Disconnect Pearl device from Opencast using the Admin panel
Log in to the Admin panel as admin,
From the Configuration menu, click CMS. The Content management system configuration menu opens.
To disconnect Pearl device, select none from the Choose CMS drop down and then click Apply.
