# EchoVideo (Echo360) integration overview

# EchoVideo (Echo360) CMS integration for Pearl devices

**ℹ️ Note on naming**

EchoVideo is the current name of the content management system (CMS) still referred to in the Pearl Admin panel as Echo360. In the Pearl Admin panel, the application container and the **Choose CMS** option are labelled **Echo360**; the service, credentials, and web environment are **EchoVideo**. This guide uses both names to match what you see on screen.

The Epiphan Pearl integration with EchoVideo (Echo360) provides a seamless multisource recording and streaming experience. The web-based Admin panel interface lets you set up Pearl devices to the exact specifications required and register the Pearl device as a room device in EchoVideo. Once registered, the Pearl device automatically synchronizes with EchoVideo to streamline your lecture capture and event workflows. The device will automatically:

- Receive schedules directly from EchoVideo
- Start and stop recordings based on scheduled times and automatically upload files to EchoVideo
- Start and stop live streaming based on scheduled times

**ℹ️ Note**

At scale, it is recommended to use Epiphan Edge to monitor and manage Epiphan devices. For some features a premium Edge team is required. See the [Epiphan Edge Product page](https://www.epiphan.com/edge/).
