# Panopto recording limits, transcoding time, and track synchronization

*Applies to: Pearl-2, Pearl Mini, Pearl Nexus, Pearl Nano.*

Transcoding of recordings can take up to 150% of the length of the event. A one-hour recording can take up to 1.5 hours for Panopto to transcode and distribute. During this time the Panopto interface may continue to show "recording" or "processing".
Pearl firmware 4.24.4 embeds sub-second timestamps in uploaded recordings, and Panopto synchronizes all uploaded files for an event. Primary and secondary recordings are therefore in sync in the Panopto player.

**Device differences**
- **Pearl Nano:** Pearl Nano only has a single encoding channel so track synchronization is not relevant as there is only a single track.
