# EC20 Panopto integration

The EC20 can register with Panopto as a Remote Recorder, using a registration key generated in Panopto and applied on the camera.

You will first need to generate a Panopto Remote Recorder registration key.

Once you have a registration key, you will need to apply that key to your EC20.

Once your EC20 is registered as a Panopto Remote Recorder you can monitor events through its web interface.

Panopto administrators can monitor the live audio captured by the EC20 while it is recording and streaming, which makes it easier to confirm that the camera's audio input is working during an event.

**Important Considerations:**

When viewing an EC20 in Panopto's Remote Recorders interface the **Machine IP Address** field is blank. This is a known issue with the current Panopto integration.

When factory resetting the unit the 'Factory Default' button does not clear the Panopto settings. The current recommendation is to clear the Panopto settings on the Panopto page, and then use the 'Factory Default' button to clear the other settings.

Currently, the EC20 only supports the following audio bitrates, 96kbps and 128kbps.

### Generate Panopto Registration Key

This section of the user guide covers how to generate a **Panopto Remote Recorder registration key** so you can use your EC20 as a Remote Recorder in Panopto. Once you have a Remote Recorder registration key you will need to apply that key to your EC20.

Before you can register the EC20 with Panopto, you must generate a **registration key** from your Panopto site to authorize the connection.

- Log in to your Panopto site as an administrator.

- Navigate to the **System** menu and select **Remote Recorders**.

- Click the **Registration Keys** button.

- Then click the **Create a new registration key** button to generate a registration key.

- Copy the new Remote Recorder Registration Key. (Keep this key secure, as you will need it for the camera setup).

### Apply Panopto Registration Key

This section of the user guide covers how to apply a Panopto Remote Recorder registration key to your EC20 so it can work as a Remote Recorder in Panopto. Once logged into the EC20 web interface, you will configure the direct Panopto connection.

- Log into the EC20 web interface, either directly through its IP address or remotely through **Epiphan Edge**.

- On the left-hand navigation menu, scroll down and click on **Panopto**.

- Ensure you are on the **Configuration** tab.

- Locate the **Server Connection** section.

- In the **Server URL** field, enter your Panopto site address (e.g., https://[yoursite].panopto.com).

- In the **Registration Key** field, paste the **Remote Recorder registration key** you copied from Panopto.

- Under the **Camera Identity** section, you may optionally fill in the **Camera name** (e.g., Epiphan EC20) and **Location** (e.g., London Office) to help identify the device in your Panopto dashboard.

- Click the blue **Save configuration** button.

- Verify the connection by checking the top of the configuration page; the **Status** should display a green dot next to **Connected**.

**Monitor Panopto Events**

You can monitor Panopto Events through the EC20 web interface. Simply log into the web interface, either directly through the IP address, or through Epiphan Edge remote login, click **Panopto** in the navigation pane, and then click the **Events** tab. On the **Events** tab you can see scheduled, completed, and currently running Panopto events.

**Tracking Configuration**

This section of the user guide covers configuring the automatic tracking feature of the EC20 camera.

Using the web interface you can modify different settings for tracking.

You can also set different tracking parameters using the remote control.
