# EC20 PTZ Camera overview

# Get Started With the Epiphan EC20 PTZ Camera

The EC20 is a high-performance pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera from Epiphan designed to integrate directly with Epiphan gear such as Pearl encoders, but plays nice with everything. It uses a 1/1.8-inch UHD CMOS sensor (up to 8.42 megapixels) to capture 4K (3840×2160) video with 20x optical zoom, outputs video up to 4Kp60 over HDMI 2.0, and uses a 3D noise-reduction algorithm for a 55 dB signal-to-noise ratio in low light. A dedicated onboard AI chip performs monocular humanoid auto-tracking for scenarios like education, conferences, and live broadcast. It offers multiple outputs (HDMI 2.0, 3G-SDI, USB, and network protocols including NDI|HX3, SRT, and RTSP), can be controlled via remote/OSD, web UI, RS-232, RS-485, REST API, VISCA over IP, and is powered by either DC or PoE+ for single-cable installation. EC20s can be paired into the Epiphan Edge fleet management, native Panopto integration, and Dante networked audio input.
