Audio input capabilities and limitations

Pearl devices capture only the first two channels (the first stereo pair) of a source. Multichannel audio ingest is not supported.

Pearl devices have no audio DSP, such as a compressor or gate.

Video adjustment and layout limitations

Applies to: Pearl-2, Pearl Mini, Pearl Nano, Pearl Nexus.

Pearl devices have no video-adjustment settings, such as contrast or brightness, for HDMI and SDI sources. On Pearl-2, Pearl Mini, and Pearl Nexus, USB (UVC) cameras can expose their own camera controls; see "USB video and web camera settings".

Channel and layout numbers are sequential and cannot be reordered once created. In firmware 4.24.0 and newer, newly created channels are numbered sequentially from the lowest channel number that exists.

If the Live Switcher button in the Admin panel is greyed out, the channel has only one layout; add another layout to enable switching.

Images cannot be cropped in the layout editor.

Closed captioning

Applies to: Pearl-2, Pearl Mini, Pearl Nano, Pearl Nexus.

Pearl devices do not support closed captioning or CEA-608/708 captions.
