CMS and platform integrations
Applies to: Pearl-2, Pearl Mini, Pearl Nexus, Pearl Nano
Pearl encoders are fully integrated with the Kaltura, Panopto, YuJa, and Opencast Content Management Systems (CMSs). Learn to use the Admin panel to set up and manage your device with these Content Management Systems, as well as how to record and stream. Full setup and operation instructions for every CMS platform โ registration, scheduled and ad hoc events, and recording upload โ are documented in the shared CMS integration guides.
Device differences
- Pearl-2: Also integrates with EchoVideo (Echo360). All sections of the shared CMS integration guides apply to Pearl-2. Supports up to four channels for EchoVideo events. Can create ad hoc CMS events directly from its touch screen.
- Pearl Mini: Also integrates with EchoVideo (Echo360). All sections of the shared CMS integration guides apply to Pearl Mini. Supports up to three channels for EchoVideo events. Can create ad hoc CMS events directly from its touch screen.
- Pearl Nexus: Also integrates with EchoVideo (Echo360). All sections of the shared CMS integration guides apply to Pearl Nexus. Pearl Nexus is headless: create and manage CMS events using the Admin panel or the CMS itself rather than a device screen.
- Pearl Nano: Does not support EchoVideo (Echo360) because it lacks the application-container support the integration requires. Only the sections marked as applying to Pearl Nano in the shared CMS integration guides apply. Cannot create ad hoc CMS events from the device display, with one narrow exception: Panopto, when the Upload destination is the Default Folder and Enable user-customizable ad hoc events is disabled.
