# Configure AFU to WebDav server parameters

*Applies to: Pearl-2, Pearl Mini, Pearl Nexus, Pearl Nano*

You can automatically upload recordings to a WebDav server when you select WebDav as the AFU protocol transfer type using the Admin panel.

The following table describes the parameters to configure AFU to a WebDav server.

| **Name** | **Description / Options** |
| --- | --- |
| Server address | The IP address (or fully qualified domain name) of the WebDav server. |
| Server port | The port used by the target WebDav server. Standard port is 21. |
| Login | Username for the WebDav server. |
| Password | Password for the WebDav user. |
| Enable HTTPS | Select if you need to use a secured HTTPS link to the WebDav server. |
| Use temp file | Causes files to be named with .part extension on the server during active upload. When the upload completes, the file is renamed to the appropriate extension (.mov, .mp4 or .avi). |

**Prerequisites**

- Channels and recorders are already added for AFU.
- AFU is enabled and the parameters configured.

**Configure AFU upload to a WebDav server using the Admin panel**

- From the Automatic File Upload configuration page, select **WebDav Client** as the protocol transfer type.
- Specify the target **Server address**. If your system is configured with DHCP or has a valid DNS configuration, you can use the server's fully qualified domain name instead of the IP address.
- Specify the **Server Port** used for the target WebDav server. The standard port is 21.
- Enter the WebDav account username in the **Login** field.
- Enter the WebDav account password in the **Password** field. The characters are masked with dots.
- Select **Enable HTTPS** if you need a secure HTTPS link to the WebDav server.
- Select **Use temp file** to name files with a temporary filename extension (.part) on the server until upload is complete.
- Click **Apply**.

**Device differences**

- **Pearl Nano:** Has only one channel and no recorder concept — "Channels and recorders" above applies to the channel only.
