# Streaming error messages

*Applies to: Pearl-2, Pearl Mini, Pearl Nano, Pearl Nexus.*

- **Insufficient or low bandwidth** — the upstream bandwidth is below the channel bitrate, or there is network congestion or misconfiguration. Lower the encoding bitrate, allow at least 50% more upstream bandwidth than the stream requires, and consult your IT team. Pearl cannot throttle outbound data.
- **Closed by remote host** — the receiving end (for example, YouTube, Facebook, or Vimeo) ended the stream, usually because of incorrect stream data or because the destination was not ready.
- **Input/output error** — often caused by outdated firmware or another device issue; update to the latest firmware and retry.
