# View network status

*Applies to: Pearl-2, Pearl Mini, Pearl Nexus, Pearl Nano*

Get useful status information about your Pearl device's network connection from the Network configuration page using the Admin panel, including:

- Current IP address
- Hostname
- Rated Ethernet link speed (Mbps)
- Sending and receiving speed (Mbps)
- MAC address
- 802.1x status

**View the network status using the Admin panel**

- Log in to the Admin panel as admin.

- From the Configuration menu, click Network. The Network configuration page opens.

### View 802.1x network connection status

View the 802.1x network connection status in the following locations:

- the Connectivity status diagnostic in the Admin panel

- an on-device location, if available (see Device differences below)

The status can display as either passed, failed, or disabled.

If you attempt to connect to a network that isn't 802.1x enabled when 802.1x is configured, a consistent 802.1x status: failed status message appears on the Network Configuration page in the Admin panel.

**Device differences**

- **Pearl-2 and Pearl Mini:** Also viewable on the touch screen — select **Network > Connectivity Status**.
- **Pearl Nano:** Also viewable on the front screen menu — select **System > Network > Connectivity Status**. (On Pearl Nano, this content lives under the device's "Status and monitoring" section rather than as a standalone network topic — a structural/retrieval difference only, not a content difference.)
- **Pearl Nexus:** No touch screen or front screen menu. If the HDMI output port is configured to show Device info, the status is viewable there instead; otherwise use the Admin panel only.
