# LiveScrypt discontinuation and end-of-service dates

LiveScrypt is a discontinued transcription appliance. Customers sometimes write the name as **Live Script** or **LiveScript**; these refer to the same discontinued LiveScrypt product.

**LiveScrypt is completely discontinued, including the web service.** This is not only a hardware discontinuation — the transcription service itself has ended.

- **Hardware** — discontinued since October 2024.
- **Transcription service** — discontinued since April 2026, with a grace period of several months past April 2026.

Because the LiveScrypt transcription service has ended, LiveScrypt cannot be used for new transcription work after the grace period. Epiphan does not offer LiveScrypt demonstrations.
