Third-party control system support for Epiphan products

Epiphan publishes control modules for several third-party control platforms. Support differs by platform and by product, so check the specific combination before specifying a system.

Q-SYS

Crestron

Stream Deck

Bitfocus Companion

Extron

Beyond these control modules, Epiphan products can also be controlled through their own interfaces and APIs. The EC20 supports its web interface, an IR remote, and REST, RS-232, and VISCA over IP. Pearl devices support the web-based Admin panel, Epiphan Live, Epiphan Edge, and the Pearl REST API.

Epiphan MCP โ€” Epiphan Cloud exposes an MCP (Model Context Protocol) endpoint that connects a supported AI assistant to the devices in your Epiphan Edge team. Once connected, you can ask about your devices in plain language instead of clicking through the dashboard: list devices and flag anything offline, check whether a specific device is recording, review storage free space across the fleet, or see what is scheduled. Authentication is by OAuth in your browser, and you choose which Edge team to grant access to; the assistant sees only what your account can already see in that team.

Epiphan MCP complements the APIs above rather than replacing them. It is reached through a supported AI assistant, not by direct programmatic calls, and it is oriented toward querying device and event information, with write actions available on an Epiphan Edge Premium plan. For scripted device control and automation, use the Pearl REST API. For setup steps and the regional server URLs, see the Epiphan Cloud and Epiphan Edge documentation. All READ or GET calls to Epiphan MCP do not require a premium Edge account. WRITE or POST/PATCH/DELETE calls require an Epiphan Edge Premium plan.
