About Epiphan release notes and product applicability

Epiphan product release notes

This document lists firmware and service releases across Epiphan products. Each release below states exactly which products it applies to.

Product applicability matters. The four Pearl systems — Pearl-2, Pearl Mini, Pearl Nexus, and Pearl Nano — share a single 4.x firmware line, but they do not all receive every release or every feature in a release. A release can be published for some Pearl systems and not others when the hardware does not support the underlying capability. Individual features within a shared release can also be device-specific.

Every release entry carries an Applies to line naming the products that receive it, and calls out any product explicitly excluded and why. Do not assume that a feature documented for one Pearl system is available on another.

Epiphan Cloud, Epiphan Edge, and Epiphan Connect are cloud services. Their releases are applied by Epiphan rather than installed by the customer.
