AV.io HD+ and AV.io SDI+ firmware
Applies to: AV.io HD+, AV.io SDI+. Current firmware: version 2022.08.18.
AV.io HD+ and AV.io SDI+ share a single firmware download, so the same file updates either capture card. The Epiphan Capture Config tool runs on 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11 only.
Release 22.08.18 โ Enables the following in the Epiphan Capture Config tool: change the name of the AV.io HD+, and set custom UVC modes.
Release 22.06.17 โ Initial release.
A separate published release history for AV.io SDI+ is not available on the Epiphan support site. Because the firmware binary is shared, the entries above cover both cards.
Firmware update warnings โ read before updating either card:
- Do not disconnect the card at any point during the update process. Doing so may cause irrevocable errors and may permanently damage the device.
- Attempting to update firmware while running virtual machines will result in firmware upgrade failure.
- The compressed firmware file contains two files, a .bit and an .img. Perform the update step with both files.
- For updates to persist after power cycling, allow 5 seconds before disconnecting or restarting the device.
- On macOS the "Update Completed" text does not appear. Completion is indicated by the progress bar filling and the window no longer being greyed out.
