# Create a Unify project

An **Epiphan Unify Project** is where you do all of your work in Epiphan Unify.

You must create an Epiphan Unify Project before you can begin ingesting, switching, recording, or streaming.

To create a Unify project:

-  Log in to your Epiphan Cloud account at https://go.epiphan.cloud.

- Depending on your Epiphan Unify account status, do one of the following:

- If you an active subscription to Epiphan Unify, click **Unify**.

- If you have not yet subscribed to an Epiphan Unify plan, subscribe to a plan with the following procedure: Subscribe to an Epiphan Unify plan

- If this is your first project, click **+New project button in the top right**.

- Enter a **Project name** and click **Create and run new project**.

Your project has been created and it is now live.

There is an hourly charge for each running instance of Epiphan Unify.
