# Unify walkthrough

Here are the basic steps to working with Epiphan Unify.

- Subscribe to an Epiphan Unify account. For more information, see Subscribe to an Epiphan Unify plan.

- Create a Unify project. For more information, see Create a Unify project

- Add SRT input(s). For more information, see Connect an SRT stream as an input.

- Add and configure channels. This includes:

- configuring encoding settings. For more information, see Configure encoding.

- configuring layouts. For more information, see Custom layout configuration

-  configuring recording. For more information, see Record a channel.

- configure streaming destinations. For more information, see Streaming to a CDN and streaming to multiple destinations.

- (Optional) Modify any configuration settings. For more information, see Automatic file transfers and Manually set the time zone.

That's it! You're ready to start recording/streaming.
